This is a great tool to help diagnose system problems. It would be very useful to be anle to install the pro version to a USB stick, so that it could be used to help ana;yze a system, without installing it to that system. For systems in our QA lab, I plan on just using one of the three licenses I bought, because those systems get completely wiped after I've touched them (QA doesn't seem to trust me :-D ). But onsite at a partner or vendor, it doesn't seem right to install there, nor do I want to buy a license for their systems.

You can use LogFusion without installing it, the only catch is that the settings are stored in the registry. I don't have plans to make a fully portable (non-registry) version right now, but it's on my wishlist. :)

Yeah, I noticed settings in the registry. And of course the .NET requirement can bite you on older systems. I may try and put together a PortableApp format package, since that has registry redirection, just to have something until it get's to the top of the list. Using the free version at a company site appears to violate the license, so I want to avoid that.

That sounds like a good temporary solution. :)

How did that portable app package work out?

I'm interested to know as well, if anyone has tried it out.
